SWE Scholarship Program

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is dedicated to empowering women and girls to achieve their desires and aspirations to become successful engineers. To accomplish this goal, the Greater Syracuse Area Section of SWE established an annual scholarship program over 20 years ago that through its lifetime has awarded over $60,000 worth of scholarships to over 80 deserving young women in the Syracuse area.

AFCEA Erie Canal Scholarships

The AFCEA Erie Canal Chapter Scholarships are awarded to assist deserving students in furthering their educational objectives.  Their program of study must lead to a degree in electronics, electrical engineering, communications, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or an information technology allied field.

CNY STEM Scholars Program

The SRC STEM Scholars Program was designed in conjunction with the CNY STEM Hub to support Central New York students who plan to pursue a college degree in a field related to science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

Scholarships will be presented to four graduating seniors each year. The scholarships are for $2,500 a year for four years ($10,000 total). The program is administered by SRC and the CNY STEM Hub.

As part of the program, SRC STEM Scholars will also be guaranteed an internship at SRC after their sophomore and junior years of college if they maintain program eligibility.
